Rivers of Nihil will be touring in support of their recently released, sophomore album, Monarchy. Hailed as "the gold standard for extreme, technical, progressive, and passionate death metal right now" (, Monarchy continues the seasonal concept that began with spring on Rivers of Nihil's acclaimed debut, The Conscious Seed of Light - this time, welcoming the oppressive summer heat. Adam Biggs, who also serves as the band's primary lyricist, explains: "The Earth has been transformed into a vast desert wasteland, where after aeons of lifelessness, new beings begin to take shape and begin their journey as shepherds of the planet. But after a while, a class system forms from a sun-worshiping religious dictatorship, and these beings start to lose their way. Only the guidance of an ancient earthly force can help them save themselves as well the planet."

After a memorable CD launch show in their hometown of Porto Alegre, Brazil for their fifth and new self-titled album released earlier this August, power metallers HIBRIA want to share some of that experience with their fans and friends with the a new live video for their track ‘Lonely Fight’, which is from their 2013 release 'Silent Revenge'. The concert also included special participation from Distraught vocalist André Meyer and former Hibria members Marco Panichi and Diego Kasper.
KING PARROT will step foot on European soil for the second time since their March trek with Weedeater, giving the chance to live through the experience of their new album, "Dead Set", in the flesh. The album has been released in May 2015 on Agonia Records, shortly after the band's nomination for a Metal Hammer (UK) Golden God Award.
Commented by frontman Matt Young: "Having the opportunity to tour with Soulfly through the UK and Europe is an honour and we are really looking forward to our most extensive tour of the continent. Our new record 'Dead Set' has been received really well there, but it's our live show where the band excels. We feel like our live performance is pushing boundaries within the extreme realm of music, so having this chance to perform in a lot of new places is really important to us. We look forward to bring our new brand of chaos to the stages across Europe in 2016".

Witchwood now in the recording studio working on a new Ep out in 2016.

The unique chemistry shared by Anthrax's main songwriters Charlie Benante, Frank Bello and Scott Ian, is, in part, what sets the band's music apart from other bands' in the same genre.  Drummer Benante comes up with copious amounts of foundation riffs and ideas for the music, bassist Bello writes the songs' melodies, tailoring them to Joey Belladonna's soaring vocals, and rhythm guitarist Scott Ian has a very particular way of incorporating his intense lyrical ideas into the band's music.  The three together build the songs' arrangements during writing sessions, and eveyone contributes his own ideas and suggestions to pretty much every song.  In the end, the trio brings it all together to create what can only be described as "Anthrax music."
For All Kings will be released on February 26, 2016 (Megaforce in North America).  More info at

ARGONAUTA RECORDS new signing: SHE HUNTS KOALAS from France - first single from the forthcoming album revealed!
We’re excited to announce a new very promising name joined today ARGONAUTA Records family: SHE HUNTS KOALAS, authors of a nocturnal and emotional Heavy Psych Doom Rock.
Formed in Toulouse (France) by Julien Aoufi (Drums), François Cayla (Bass & vocals), Alex Gavalda (Guitar) and Dan Letellier (Machines/vocals) , SHE HUNTS KOALAS kept on experimenting and working on a dark and melancholic universe full of shadows, in which larsens, drones, walls of guitars and powerful drums flirts with doom, sludge and ethereal voices.
SHE HUNTS KOALAS music is a trip from the depth to the astral. The encounter between powerful forgotten monoliths and interstellar satellites. Whispers and hallucinated screams create an alchemy both sweet and violent.

Formed in 2011, SHIRAZ LANE is a young, energetic, ambitious, authentic hard rock group from Vantaa, Finland. Although wearing inspiration from big masters like Aerosmith, Skid Row and Guns N' Roses on their sleeves, the band has a sound and style all their own. Members of some of the biggest bands in Scandinavia - The 69 Eyes, Amorphis, Children Of Bodom, Lordi and Sonic Syndicate among others - have all described SHIRAZ LANE as being one of the most entertaining bands they have ever seen in the underground music scene, bringing something new to the table in terms of both music and live performance! Notwithstanding their young age (the band members are all in their 20's), the guys are already veterans of the underground circuit in their homeland and have developed a reputation for being uncompromising, loud and genuine.
French black/death metal masters THE ORDER OF APOLLYON, also referred to as TOOA, have inked a record deal with Agonia Records, with plans to record a new EP in 2016.Formed in 2008 by BST (Aosoth, ex-Aborted) and then-drummer Daniel Wilding (Carcass), THE ORDER OF APOLLYON is an artistic and spiritual concept. With lyrics based on "the Divine nature of Death, and the prophecy carried on by Death's ultimate servant, man, and a music between death metal and black metal, with martial ambient influences" (as commented by the band themselves), TOOA have developed their personal sound through two full length albums: "The Flesh" (2010) and "The Sword And The Dagger" (2015).
Accompanied by a line-up consisting of members of the elite of the French Black Metal scene (Hell Militia, Aosoth, Temple of Baal), and starting a new international collaboration with Agonia Records, the band is now focusing on their next release, to be recorded at the infamous Bst Studios.

All Empires Fall is a commanding, crushingly heavy release, one that invokes the kind of grandeur and magnitude its title suggests, and affirms TOMBS as one of the leading lights of American - and international - black metal. Stereogum is currently streaming the band's new song "Deceiver" via this LOCATION.

THUNDERSTONE are back! The Finnish power metal act presents its new album “Apocalypse Again” on April 1st. It is not only the return of the band after almost six years, “Apocalypse Again” sees Pasi Rantanen re-unite with THUNDERSTONE. The band’s original vocalist, who left after 2007’s “Evolution 4.0”, has been an integral part of THUNDERSTONE’s characteristic sound ever since and was sorely missed after his departure back then.
“Apocalypse Again” is melodic metal perfection. From the speedy opening track “Veterans Of The Apocalypse” and the catchy single “The Path” with its uplifting chorus, to the epic completion with “Barren Land” - it clearly shows that THUNDERSTONE are one of the finest offerings in the current scene and how much Rantanen was missing. Welcome back!
Swedish power metallers BLOODBOUND will not only release their first DVD, titled "One Night Of Blood", on February 12th - the band will also embark on an extensive European tour with Sabaton and Alestorm on that very date.
